Kaliurang (UII News) – Leadership is a role and a process to move a group of people towards a common goal that has been set but not forced. A leader is also someone in an association who is expected to use his influence in realizing and achieving group goals.

That is what underlies the thinking of the Student Representative Council (DPM) of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia held the IX General Assembly on Friday-Saturday, 31 July – 02 August 2015 / 15 – 17 Shawwal 1436 H at the Aduditorium Lt. 1 FK UII, Jl. Kaliurang Km. 14,5 Sleman Yogyakarta.

Achmad Bima Aryaputra as the entrusted Chair of the Organizers stated that this activity was held to equip FK UII Student Representative Council (DPM) and FK UII Student Organization (LEM) students to understand the importance of leadership according to Islam.

"An honest leader is someone who 'serves' what he leads, not someone who abuses his position as a leader," said Bima.

Furthermore, this class of 2013 student explained that the purpose of this activity was that the students who sat on the board of the institution had good leadership characteristics according to Islam, including leaders who wanted to consult with the people they lead. Because deliberation itself has many benefits, including: 1). Can rectify mistakes between leaders and those who are led, 2). Familiarize the relationship between the leader and the led, 3). Gives the impression of leadership that is transparent (not covered up), 4). Avoiding negative thoughts by several parties, due to transparent leadership, 5). Uniting ideas, enthusiasm and views, explained Bima as the organizer. Wibowo/Tri
