Winner of High School Student Essay and Poster Contest Commemorating AIDS Day PIKM FK UII
The incidence of HIV / AIDS in Indonesia continues to increase. Most of the sufferers are in the productive age group, namely 20-29 years. Teenagers (15-19 years) rank 5th most of all age groups. The tendency for HIV/AIDS to be found at a younger age has also increased. Because of this, efforts to disseminate HIV/AIDS to the younger generation are absolutely necessary.
In commemoration of world AIDS/HIV day, the Faculty of Medicine's Student Information and Counseling Center (PIKM). Universitas Islam Indonesia held an Essay Writing Contest and a Poster Contest for high school/equivalent students at the DIY provincial level with the theme "AIDS and the Young Generation". The competition aims to arouse the participation and awareness of the younger generation, especially students, in the HIV/AIDS prevention movement. Teenagers, in this case high school students, are expected to be able to learn more, dig up more in-depth information about HIV/AIDS, ways of transmission, ways of prevention and in the end are expected to play an active role as agents of adolescent reproductive health.
