FK UII Lecturer Research Methodology Training

In order to improve understanding, mastery, and application of research methodology, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) held Research Methodology Training for lecturers on April 4 and 5 2011 at the Computer Laboratory of FK UII.

This activity is managed by experts in the field of medical research with a variety of different topics, such as dr. Bambang Udji Djoko Rianto, Sp.THT-KL who conveyed about "Research Questions”, Prof. Dr. dr. Barmawi Hisyam, Sp.PD (KP) who presented about "Research in Clinical Settings”, and dr. Andaru Dahesihdewi, Sp.PK (K) who discussed "Research Design" and "Population, Samples, and Data Collection Methods".

 
In this training, sharing the fundamentals of research was discussed in order to increase the understanding of the participants. One of them is the problem of research questions or research questions which are the initial basis for the emergence of a research. according to dr. Bambang Udji Djoko Rianto, Sp.ENT-KL, a good research will be born from good research questions. "To be called a good research question, it must meet five characteristics, namely: feasible, interesting for researchers, something new, ethical, and relevant to scientific knowledge, clinical and health policy, and further research." said the doctor who is also a senior researcher.

Through this activity it is hoped that in the future more and more research will be carried out and produced by lecturers within FK UII. In this way, it will increase the quality and credibility of FK UII as an educational institution, as well as support the development of science.
