Understanding UK OSCE Procedures, FK UII Holds a Briefing for Students

Kaliurang (UII News) – The competency test is a national test and assessment for students of the medical profession program, which aims to: a. ensure graduates of the medical profession program are competent and nationally standardized; b. assess attitudes, knowledge, and skills as a basis for practicing medicine; c. provide feedback on the educational process at medical faculties; and D. monitor the quality of medical professional programs in the context of policy making by the government.

This was conveyed by dr.Kuswati, M.Sc as the Coordinator of the OSCE Center (KOC) Faculty of Medicine, FK UII, while giving a briefing for OSCE Competency Examination (UK OSCE) participants in the Faculty's first floor auditorium. UII Medicine, Jl.Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman Yogyakarta Friday, 27 February 2015/07 Jumadil Awal 1436 H which was attended by 48 clinical education students who will take part in the UK OSCE on Saturday (28/2).

                               According to him, this briefing must be conducted in order to provide an understanding for participants so that they know the procedures for following the OSCE Competency Test flow that they will go through by knowing the room, station and session.

"Participants who pass the Competency Test will be given a professional certificate by the tertiary institution and a competency certificate by the Professional Organization," he said. Wibowo
