Achieving Victory in the Holy Month of Ramadhan: Recitation Period June 2015 FK UII

Kaliurang (FK UII) – Before carrying out the Fasting Service it is recommended that Muslims prepare themselves both physically and mentally, one of which is by attending taklim such as recitation. That's what dr. Agus Taufiqurrohman, M.Kes., Sp.S at the beginning of his lecture material in welcoming the Month of Ramadan 1436 H which was held on Wednesday, 17 June 2015 at the Auditorium Lt. 1 FK UII.

In his presentation he said that if we want to achieve victory, then our fasting must be better than before. "Our fasting must be better than last year's fasting, for that we need to set targets," he said firmly. dr. Agus gave an example that last year his reading of the Koran was not good, so this year the target is that his reading of the Koran must be even more perfect.
Furthermore, the ustadz who is also a doctor of neurological diseases invites all recitation congregations to be more solemn in carrying out fasting. "Let's maximize our worship in the month of Ramadan while being solemn in carrying it out so that we can achieve real victory. So fasting must be both physical and spiritual so that we don't enter a group that only gets hungry and thirsty," he explained. In his explanation, he stated that in fasting one should not only endure hunger and thirst but one must be able to control other desires such as lust, anger, envy, envy, revenge, riya', and so on.
Next dr. Agus reminded that the practices in the month of Ramadan that must be carried out include upholding night prayers (tarawih), tadzabur Quran, giving alms, often praying, and praying. For the latter, he invited the recitation congregation to pray as much as possible because in this blessed month it is an efficacious time to pray.
At the end of the recitation, a halal bil halal program is held, forgiving each other between the congregation who attends with the hope that each individual can carry out Ramadan worship solemnly and become a muttaqin person. (AK/Three)
