        Medicine (UII News) – The coming of the MEA (Asean Economic Community) era where health services are included, the flow of foreign workers (foreigners) will open and the JKN/SJSN program has started which has not satisfied all parties and there has been eroding of the autonomy rights of some patients so that the profession Medicine is facing quite a formidable challenge at the moment.

 

        This was ordered by the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) which was conveyed by dr. Sandrawati Said, M.Kes when giving a speech at the inauguration ceremony and pronouncement of the Doctor's Oath Period 34 which was held by the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia on Wednesday, 22 Syawal 1437 H / 27 July 2016 at the KH. Abdul Kahar Muzakir, UII Integrated Campus, which was attended by 18 new doctors.

 

        According to Dr. Sandra, in dealing with this problem, new doctors must be able to think clearly, consistent with the basic principles of the duties of the medical profession which are pronounced in the doctor's oath or those regulated by KODEKI.

 

        "What is certain is that the medical profession must be itself, health sovereignty must remain in our hands because we are the ones who know our society best, because the system that is implemented is health service based on community needs," said doctor Sandra.

         Meanwhile, the Dean of the UII Faculty of Medicine, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK in her remarks reported that the UII Faculty of Medicine had inaugurated and took the 34th oath of 18 new doctors, consisting of 12 male doctors and 6 female doctors.

“This means that the doctors who were sworn in today are competent to work in Health Services. Thank God, until now FK UII has graduated 1.145 doctors, who have taken part as civil servants, lecturers, private practice doctors, owners of hospitals and clinics and many are still pursuing further studies either at the master or specialist level," he said.

Harsoyo, M.Sc stated that UII as an educational institution, UII certainly also has a responsibility in efforts to solve problems in society.
