Foster Brothers and Sisters of FK UII

Education as a means of preparing Indonesia's young generation for their future so that they are useful for the nation and the country is an absolute thing that must be implemented. However, education as a need and right for Indonesia's young generation seems not to have been fully implemented and fulfilled. So that many children drop out of school until they are unable to continue to the next level of education. Therefore, the Student Executive Body of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia formed a Club namely "Kadiksuh" (Kakak Adik Asuh) which aims to channel generosity, empathy and concern for Faculty of Medicine students for those who are less well off who experience educational inequality and strengthen family ties in life as fellow creatures of God Almighty.

The club, which was inaugurated on September 25 2011, has a membership of about 100 students who each month contributes Rp. Until now, there are around 25.000,00 foster children at the Al-Hikmah Orphanage, Wukirsari, who are trying to help with their school fees. However, the activities of the kadiksuh club do not only finance their schooling but several activities to support education, creativity and potential development as well as various entertainments that continue to educate them.

Some of the activities of the Kadiksuh chaired by Didik Suhendro have carried out quite a lot, including breaking the fast together, watching movies together, quizzes, reciting the Koran together, games, going to smart parks and studying together which are routinely carried out with older siblings of FK students UII also gave prizes in each distribution of report cards as a reward for younger siblings who won at their school. In addition, there are several activities that, God willing, will be carried out such as outbound and recreation, language tutoring, sports activities, creative work so that younger siblings can develop their potential and can produce work according to their abilities, as well as optimizing fundraising to realize the dreams of younger siblings who want to continue to college level.

It is our hope that in the future the Kadiksuh Club can develop more and help our less fortunate younger siblings to stay in school for the sake of creating an intellectual and quality future generation," said Didik Suhendro, Head of the Kadiksuh Club. Hopefully through the care of a student can bring benefits to the lives of many Indonesian children. (izza)
