Yogyakarta (UII News) – Yogyakarta City's National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) is collaborating with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII), held a mass circumcision which was attended by elementary-junior high school children in the city of Yogyakarta and its surroundings.

This was conveyed by doctor Sani Rachman Soleman, M.Sc as Chair of the FK UII Circumcision Team during the mass circumcision event at Masjdi Diponegoro, Timoho City Hall Complex, Yogyakarta, which was attended by 77 people, which was held on Sunday, 27 Raobiul Awal 1439 H / December 17, 2017.

According to doctor Sani, this collaboration event has often been carried out by BAZNAS Yogyakarta City by collaborating with FK UII as the operator, by deploying a medical team consisting of doctors and the FK UII Student Medical Assistance Team (TBMM).

"At the circumcision event, all participants received a screening to find out the condition of the participants, whether they were in good health or were experiencing other symptoms," said Sani.

Doctor Sani added, after the participants had been circumcised, the UII Faculty of Medicine also provided control services that were useful for checking the child's condition after post-circumcision by removing the bandages and replacing them with new ones.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK advised all participants to follow what the medical team will later direct, so that the circumcision process can run smoothly. On the other hand, after the circumcision, the participants have carried out the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, so that after being circumcised, they must keep their prayers, in order to become pious people.

BAZNAS himself also added that this annual activity was held in collaboration with the UII Faculty of Medicine, which has been well established so far. With this activity it is hoped that we can establish friendship and invite preaching to compete in goodness.

"Most of the participants who take part in this free circumcision are their parents who don't have enough funds to go to the hospital or bong supit, so this circumcision aims to help them to get their children to follow the sunna of the prophet," emphasized Ust. Syamsul Asyhari from the Yogyakarta City Baznas. Wibowo
