FKUII Supports Indonesian Doctors Service Day

Indonesian Doctors Service Day is a day to remember the struggle of doctors as the initiator of the Budi Utomo movement which was founded on May 20, 1908 which became known as National Awakening Day. That meaning was then applied by PB IDI in the National Seminar and Indomedica Expo on 27-28 May 2010 at the Assembly Hall, JCC Senayan, Jakarta.

FK UII as one of the doctors' printers, was moved to participate in the success of the Indonesian Doctor's Dedication Day by displaying educational content based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) together with other medical faculties in Indonesia.
 

The latest Medical Education, Pharmaceutical Industry and Medical Technology Exhibition was opened by the Indonesian Minister of Health Dr. Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih, MPH on Thursday, May 27 2010 which was then followed by various seminars with interesting topics. Such as: National Social Security-Based Health Service System in the Health Sector. The Ministry of Health's efforts to formulate a health service referral system policy and to empower primary care doctors as the front line of health services, including a seminar on the Agreement on Free Trade between ASEAN and China, especially in the field of Health Services, which was presented by the Indonesian Minister of Trade, Dr. Mari Elka Pangestu.
 
According to the Minister of Health, the creation of a Healthy Society that is Independent and Just requires the support of various parties. Both the health and non-health sectors, business actors in the health sector such as medicine, traditional medicine (herbs), medical equipment and universities. This will later become one of the means in improving the health status of the Indonesian people.
 
In this activity, apart from FK UII as a medical education institution, all associations of specialist doctors in the IDI environment, private and government hospitals, companies engaged in medical technology and the pharmaceutical industry, both foreign and local, including the herbal medicine industry in the country, participated.
