FK UII Successfully Holds LKMM Region 3

Kaliurang (UII News – 31/8) – Student Leadership and Management Training (LKMM) is a routine agenda for medical students, this activity is routinely held every year and this program is an initiative of the Medical Student Senate Association (ISMKI) as a forum for Indonesian medical students. LKMM region 3 in 2015 was held in the city of Jogja and the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) is trusted to be the organizer of the event. Region 3 consists of Central Java, DIY and parts of Kalimantan.

"As the name implies, the 3 LKMM Region 2015 event is essentially cadre of medical students in region 3, the aim is to make many cadres in region 3," said Delarius, head of the 3 LKMM region 2015 committee.

LKMM itself is one of them carried out to produce leaders, especially in student institutions, for example, the Student Executive Board (BEM). "So here are the elected representatives from their respective institutions, the goal tomorrow is to have strategic positions in their institutions. Here they teach various things so they can be better, can maximize and utilize their own potential, like that.”, said the woman who is often called Dela (29/8).

LKMM lasts for five days, the opening event starts on August 25 and ends on August 29. The opening ceremony was held at the Sleman Regent's official residence hall and was opened by the governor's assistant 3, GBPH Yudhaningrat.

"The LKMM event was good, the speakers were cool, the setting was good. The problem may be that the bathroom often queues. The rest is good.”, said Fahkri (20), a delegation from UNS. "There are also many things we get from here, for example, we get time management, issues management, student movement...then we can get closer to other institutions," added Fakhri.

After a series of LKMM events, on Saturday, August 29, a closing ceremony was held. The closing of the event was held at the PPPPTK open theater of the Yogjakarta art polytechnic, the event took place from 20.00 – 23.00 WIB. The event was filled with performances from the FKUII acoustic band and was complemented by performances from all the delegates and event committee and closed with the lighting of fireworks.
