FK UII Inaugurates Mendoan
Kaliurang (UII News-21/8) – Mendoan is the name of mentoring lecturers and staff at the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia. This activity is a means to stay in touch with fellow lecturers and employees, to deepen Islamic religious knowledge in order to create a garden of heaven in the world.
This was conveyed by the Chair of Mendoan FK UII, dr. M.Syukron Fauzi, as the head of the Mendoan Team of FK UII when giving an explanation in the inauguration of Mendoan with the theme "Knitting Ukhuwah Reaping Blessings" by inviting UII Warek III, Ust. Dr. Abdul Jamil, SH., MH as the guest speaker at the First Floor auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia, Jl. Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman Yogyakarta on Friday, 21 August 2015/6 Dzulqoidah 1436 H which was attended by Leaders from the UII Faculty of Medicine as well as Lecturers and Employees.
According to doctor Syukron, in fact the routine and the amount of responsibility and mandate carried out by lecturers and employees often becomes an obstacle to stopping for a moment to enjoy the beauty of the garden of paradise on earth.
"Answering that, the employee lecturer mentoring (MENDOAN) is here to build paradise gardens in our beloved FK UII," he said.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK stated that this activity is a means of realizing the 2015 RKAT which has been planned so that it must be carried out with real activities, in other places religious affairs are left to each person, while at UII we can feel that This religious activity can be felt in our work environment namely Universitas Islam Indonesia.
"The purpose of mentoring lecturers and staff is to renew and improve the quality of faith, as well as add insight into Islamic knowledge, strengthen a sense of family in FK UII which can later support the productivity of good both individually and socially at the Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Islamic University," he hoped.
As a speaker, Ust. Dr. Abdul Jamil, SH, MH also stressed that the teachings of ukhuwah had been taught long ago, so we just have to enjoy them and continue them up to now.
"I am inspired by the UII Faculty of Medicine, which has gone one step further, as an example of providing an Islamic curriculum for its students by implementing memorized juz 30 after graduating from a Bachelor of Medicine, this is something that other universities and faculties must follow," he said.
It was further added that the urgency of seeking knowledge is very important, medoan is the means to obtain the widest possible knowledge. we want to be successful in the world and the hereafter, so we must learn both, said Cak Jamil.
