FK Holds MEDEX

Kaliurang (UII News) – Medical Expo (MEDEX) is an event from Pendpro LEM FK UII. The concept being carried is "Gain Knowledge, Well Planned, For a Glorious Future" meaning that this event will introduce participants to the UII Faculty of Medicine, besides that participants gain knowledge then can make plans to determine a victorious future. This event is different from the previous year's Pendpro program (Pancreas) which only held competitions, this year there are additional ones talkshow with Bipolar themes and tour de medica.

This was conveyed by Teguh Sulistiyono, as Chair of MEDEX FK UII during the event at the Kahar Muzakir Auditorium Universitas Islam Indonesia, Jl. Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman, Yogyakarta on Saturday, 31 January 2015 and was attended by more than two hundred participants.

According to Teguh, taking the theme talkshow Bipolar itself is due to a psychiatric disorder that is currently being hotly discussed, so it is suitable to be discussed from root to tip.

"Libbie Anatagia S.Psi., M, Psi and Prof. Dr. dr. H. Soewadi MPH, SP. Kj (K), provided an understanding to MEDEX participants about mood disorder (Bipolar), starting from the stages, influencing factors, to how to overcome them. In addition, there is RY Kusumaningtyas who tells how to get up after being convicted of Bipolar and then be able to inspire many people, "said Teguh.

Meanwhile, the general participants who attended admitted that the MEDEX FK UII event was very useful. "An event of this kind needs to be held again next year because it can give participants an idea about life at the Faculty of Medicine," said Aditya Rahmat Z.

According to the presenters of this event, Libbie Anatagia S.Psi., M, Psi and RY Kusumaningtyas said they were happy to be able to attend this event which was very positive because firstly it can provide education about bipolar psychiatric disorder and is a great way to introduce campuses. The two presenters also said that in general the event ran smoothly, the committee was good and the selection of material themes was good.

"In the future, it would be better if this kind of event is continued by bringing up new themes that are currently being hotly discussed, then giving more time for interactive discussions to establish contact with audience so it doesn't just go in the same direction.”, was the impression and message from Libbie.
