Effects of Satria Nusantara Breathing Exercises on Lung Functional Capacity

THE EFFECT OF SATRIA NUSANTARA BREATHING TRAINING ON
FEV1 LUNG FUNCTION CAPACITY IN BASIC TRAINING PARTICIPANTS
SECURITY CLASS III POLDA DIY

ABSTRACT
Dynamic sports can increase blood flow so that it really supports the maintenance of the heart and respiratory system. Satria Nusantara is one of the dynamic health sports that maximizes lung function.

The purpose of this study was to find out about changes in FEV1 lung function capacity in participants of the Yogyakarta Regional Police Security Guard Basic Training Batch III after participating in the Satria Nusantara breathing art sport.

The research was carried out using an experimental test with a before-after design. The research sample was 30 participants in the Asar Security Guard Training Batch III Polda DIY who met the inclusion criteria.

The data were obtained through FEV1 measurements which were then analyzed using the statistical t-paired sample test. The results showed that the participants in the Basic Security Training Batch III Polda DIY found that after-before training there was no increase in FEV1 (mean = -2,467) with a P Value (Sig. (2-tailed)) = 0,125. So it can be concluded that the data is not significant (p> 0,05).

The conclusion of this study is that there is no effect on improving FEV1 in the participants of the Yogyakarta Police Force Basic Training Batch II who take part in the Satria Nusantara Breathing Exercise for 12 days.
