dr. Huda Nur Rahman, Conveys Inauguration Speech and Doctor's Oath of FK UII 2015 Period XXXI

Kaliurang (UII News – 27/10) – Please allow us to represent colleagues Participants of the XXXI Doctor's Oath and Inauguration of FK UII stood at this pulpit to deliver a speech. A welcome for a ceremonial moment that is so important in our life's journey. We have gone through such a long educational process, we have completed the ups and downs of the educational journey on campus and in the hospital. Surely with the permission of Allah SWT everything can be exceeded. The roles of various parties who have supported the learning process are of course also very valuable to us, therefore we express our gratitude to.

This was conveyed by dr. Huda Nur Rahman, while delivering his speech at the Oath and Inauguration of Doctors at the Faculty of Medicine, Indonesian Islamic University on Tuesday, 27 October 2015 / 14 Muharam 1437 H in the KH auditorium. Abdul Kahar Muzakir, Ulil Albab Mosque Complex, Integrated Campus Universitas Islam Indonesia, Jalan Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman Yogyakarta.

Huda further said to the Chancellor Universitas Islam Indonesia who have given us the opportunity to study in this campus environment. Hopefully we can repay this opportunity that has been given with achievements that are certainly proud of us Universitas Islam Indonesia

We also express our gratitude to the Leaders of FK UII and their staff who have guided us a lot in the learning process. With the hope that in the future FK UII graduates can become five-star doctors who uphold religious values.

To the teaching doctors and educators both on campus and at the Teaching Hospital, Thank you for the knowledge that has been taught to us, we apologize if during the educational process we made many mistakes. I hope that all the knowledge and goodness that has been instilled in us, we can put into practice, so that Allah SWT rewards teaching doctors and educators with the best rewards. And of course we pray to ALLAH that the lecturers and educators will be given health and longevity, so that they can always produce Muslim doctors who are rahmatallil'alamin

Attendees who are blessed by Allah SWT

Next, we would like to thank the figures who were very influential in this educational process, namely our parents. His role is so important in this educational process, like someone who keeps a candle burning in the midst of a storm, that's how we describe our parents' enthusiasm in keeping the spirits of our children and children. From him we learned a lot about determination and strength. His smile and optimistic feelings in facing life are an extraordinary encouragement as well as a material for our reflection in living life

To colleagues participating in the inauguration and doctor's oath

Finally, we have been processed, which we have been waiting for for years, we need to remember that this is actually the beginning, how can we be dedicated, not only to the name of the profession that we must uphold or this alma mater, not only to the parents we respect, but how to be a servant can dedicate to the Divine, maintain this life.

If we go back in time, there are many memories of the twists and turns of educational struggles, when we first entered FK UII, some were immediately accepted, some even applied more than five times and were accepted, after that we entered the adaptation process from student to student. , everything feels foreign and new because of the different learning process, at the lecture level we get to know tutorial discussions, medical skills, practicums, expert lectures, mentoring and so on, of course each of these activities adds to our stressors, not infrequently many ask, when Am I graduating? But time has answered, we have finished the education process on campus, and we are continuing the clinical education process at a teaching hospital that is not close (Madiun, Ngawi, Sragen, Magetan, Pacitan and so on).

The process of clinical education or Koass certainly leaves a deeper story. We are starting to be introduced to a more real world of health.  Often we still have to stay awake at night to keep watch in the emergency room, work on case presentations, guard the room, and various other activities that feel hard to go through at that time. Not infrequently we have to endure conditions for days without getting enough rest, we even have to be patient apart from family members during the holidays. UKDI continued our educational struggle to close the entire series of medical professional education.

We hope that the long process that we have gone through will be saved, but what needs to be remembered, the memory of the struggle for education which is not easy, is not a reason for doctors to become doctors. arrogant, let's try to be a person who remains polite. And always thirst for knowledge.

Happy colleagues

We should open our eyes wide to the problems of human resources in the health sector in Indonesia, which seem to be never-ending. According to WHO, human resource problems in the health sector are the result of low quantity, quality, distribution and productivity. If we look at this nation, according to data from the Indonesian Medical Council, there are more or less 160 thousand doctors, which is more than 70% located in western Indonesia, partly in central Indonesia and a small part in eastern Indonesia. We admit that the number of doctors is always increasing every year, but the distribution is still uneven, plus the number of Indonesian citizens is also constantly increasing.

Of course this is a challenge for colleagues, therefore let us straighten out this sworn intention, so that in the future we can make a real contribution to this nation.

Let us unite in developing the health of this nation, incorporate "truth values" into the entire health sector in Indonesia. If some colleagues become clinicians and academics, then some of the colleagues take the portion to treat the health system in this country. For a healthier Indonesia.

"After this activity ends, we will live life as a doctor. Every second is a moment of dedication. Every word, demeanor, and action is bound by the noble oath of this profession, and is a reflection of the beauty of the heart. Let's do our best, live the long breath of serving this profession, until the end of our service period, until our age closes. May Allah SWT always bless our every step and give us the strength to go through everything," said the speech from dr. Huda Nur Rahman. Wibowo/Tri
