Profile

The Department of Internal Medicine (IPD) is one of the departments under the Medical Education Profession Study Program, FK UII, which aims to support the vision and mission of the Faculty of Medicine, FK UII, namely as an institution that is rahmatan lil 'alamin, through chess dharma efforts, namely education, research, service society, as well as preaching and producing a Muslim good doctor.
The department plays an active role in organizing medical undergraduate level education with a problem based learning (PBL) system, so that it is integrated with other branches of medical sciences. At the professional education stage, the IPD Department organizes a learning process with clinical educators at the professional stage at the FK UII teaching hospital. The process of learning clinical skills scientifically is given in a structured manner for 11 weeks through various activities such as bedside teaching, case management presentations, journal readings, direct observational procedural skills (DOPS), mini-CEX, case reflection, as well as patient service activities in polyclinics, wards and emergency room.
The IPD Department always carries out staff capacity building, and conducts quality research in the field of internal medicine, and develops collaborations with various institutions and various scientific disciplines. Professional health services, community service, and ongoing preaching are the department's programs.
