Kaliurang (UI) – A student delegation from UII won a gold medal in the 2017 INTARG International Invention and Innovation Show, which was attended by 60 inventions from all countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, on Wednesday-Thursday, 27-28 Ramadhan 1438 H / 22-23 June 2017 at Międzynarodowe Centrum, International Conference Center Katowice, Katowice, Poland

This was conveyed by one of the delegates who was a UII Medical student, Nurul Hidayah (Medicine 2015), after attending the event with his two friends, one from UII Medicine and another from UII Mechanical Engineering.

According to Nurul, this competition was attended by more than 60 inventions from all countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Indonesia sent 2 delegations one of them from Universitas Islam Indonesia with the research title "BG-Trole (Blood Glucose Control Equipment)". This research was conducted by Nurul Hidayah (Medicine 2015), Razry Surisfika (Medicine 2014), and Muhammad Abdul Rauf (Mechanical Engineering 2014).

"Alhamdulillah, the team from UII managed to get a Gold Medal on a par with research from other Europeans," said Nurul.

Nurul further said that the purpose of the competition is to bring together inventors from all over the world, and introduce the latest technological discoveries throughout the world.
